Dave Joyce, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 14th district since 2013, recently shared updates on local education initiatives, congressional activities, and community engagement through a series of posts on social media.
On August 12, 2025, Joyce expressed appreciation for educational advancements in Ashtabula County. He wrote, "Thank you to Scott Wludgya, Superintendent of A-Tech, for giving me a tour of their new addition. I am excited to see students from across Ashtabula County take advantage of this new resource, which provides classes on advanced manufacturing, criminal justice, and first responder".
The following day, August 13, Joyce announced his leadership role in environmental policy efforts. He stated, "I am proud to relaunch the House Recycling Caucus, where I will serve as Co-Chair. Together, we will promote innovative recycling practices, support domestic manufacturing, and educate fellow policymakers on the environmental and economic benefits of a robust recycling system."
On August 14, Joyce highlighted his participation in local economic discussions: "Thank you to the Ashtabula Growth Partnership for hosting me at their annual luncheon. Together, we discussed energy, infrastructure, workforce retention, and federal investment into the county. Additionally, I had the opportunity to give an update on my work in Congress and how".
David Joyce has represented Ohio’s 14th District in Congress since succeeding Steve LaTourette in 2013. Born in Cleveland in 1957 and currently residing in South Russell at age 66, Joyce holds both a BS and JD from the University of Dayton (1979 and 1982 respectively). These recent activities reflect his ongoing involvement with constituents on issues ranging from education and workforce development to recycling policy and economic growth.
