COLUMBUS—State Senator Jerry Cirino (R-Kirtland) is providing resources for storm recovery to his constituents following the recent severe weather in Northeast Ohio.
"As our communities continue to recover from the devastating storms that hit Northeast Ohio on Tuesday, I want to make sure all available resources are easily accessible," Cirino stated.
For information related to power outages, First Energy offers a continuously updated outage map available online: FirstEnergy Storm Center OH (firstenergycorp.com).
If residents have specific questions regarding power issues, they can contact the Public Utility Commission of Ohio at (800) 686-7826. The commission has a team ready to assist with inquiries and provide guidance.
Recipients of SNAP Benefits may be eligible for replacement benefits if food was destroyed due to the storm. The necessary form is linked here and must be submitted to the County Department of Jobs and Family Services within 10 days of the loss: odjfs.state.oh.us/forms/num/JFS07222/pdf/.
