Dave Joyce, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 14th district since 2013, highlighted a recent tax policy roundtable and the impact of federal tax legislation in a series of posts on August 26, 2025.

In his first post, Joyce thanked participants in a local event: "Thank you @uschamber for coming to OH-14 today as part of its Growing America’s Future campaign. In partnership with the @ywchamber, we held an informative tax roundtable at the Anderson-Dubose Company with industry leaders throughout the Mahoning Valley." (August 26, 2025)

He followed up by referencing ongoing legislative efforts: "We discussed the pro-growth tax policies in the One Big Beautiful Bill that will help Ohioans by permanently extending the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). The average taxpayer in Ohio will avoid a 26% tax bump at the end of this year thanks to this bill." (August 26, 2025)

Addressing potential consequences without these measures, Joyce wrote: "Without such provisions, thousands of small businesses just in OH-14 would have been hit with significant tax hikes. Since passage of the TCJA, over 300 Opportunity Zones have been established in Ohio, creating more than 40,000 jobs." (August 26, 2025)

David Joyce has represented Ohio's 14th District since replacing Steve LaTourette in Congress in 2013. Born in Cleveland in 1957 and currently residing in South Russell, Joyce earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Dayton.
