U.S. Congressman Dave Joyce (OH-14) attended the Ashtabula Growth Partnership’s Annual Luncheon on Tuesday in Harpersfield, Ohio. Joyce was invited to speak at the event, where Greg Myers, Executive Director of the Ashtabula Growth Partnership, introduced him and led a discussion with local leaders about regional issues such as energy, infrastructure, workforce engagement, and efforts to secure federal funding for the county.

“The Ashtabula Growth Partnership is an invaluable resource for businesses in the region,” said Congressman Joyce. “I want to thank them for hosting me, as the productive conversations that we had will help Ashtabula continue to grow moving forward. Whether it be workforce development or market research, this organization continues to be a critical asset for economic activity in the county.”

Greg Myers commented on Joyce’s participation: “Congressman Joyce’s ongoing participation in Growth Partnership’s summer members meeting is always a highlight, offering valuable updates and meaningful dialogue. His strong support and advocacy for economic growth in our region are vital to our success. We are grateful for all he does to represent us in Washington and to champion the resources that make Ashtabula County and our region a great place to live and work.”

The Ashtabula Growth Partnership serves as the main agency for economic and community development in Ashtabula County. The organization focuses on business retention, expansion, and building partnerships that create career opportunities by working with both local and external partners.

Joyce has represented Ohio’s 14th district in Congress since 2013 after succeeding Steve LaTourette (source). He was born in Cleveland in 1957 and currently resides in South Russell. Joyce earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton in 1979 and received his law degree from the same institution in 1982.
