Today, U.S. Congressman Dave Joyce from Ohio's 14th district released the Fiscal Year 2026 House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government bill. Congressman Joyce, who serves as Chairman of the House Appropriations Financial Services and General Government Subcommittee, emphasized the importance of addressing wasteful spending. "Reining in wasteful spending remains a top issue for Americans, and it is important our government share these values and take steps that reflect them," he stated.

The bill aims to restore fiscal responsibility while enhancing judicial security and protecting financial markets. It also seeks to improve national security and leverage new technology for government efficiency. Congressman Joyce expressed gratitude to Chairman Cole and subcommittee colleagues for their efforts on this legislation.

House Appropriations Chairman Tom Cole remarked on the bill's focus on safeguarding taxpayer dollars and reversing bureaucratic overreach from previous administrations. He noted its support for Americans and small businesses by protecting consumer freedom, upholding financial systems, and driving economic growth. The bill includes investments in cybersecurity, anti-drug efforts, and foreign investment committees to enhance national security.

Chairman Cole highlighted that cutting waste prioritizes essential federal missions while delivering long-term savings. Under Congressman Joyce’s leadership, the bill aims to ensure effective government operations that prioritize American citizens.
