Dave Joyce, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 14th district since 2013, recently used his social media platform to highlight legislative actions and reflect on national events.

On July 13, 2025, Joyce posted about the anniversary of an attack on a former president: "The one-year anniversary of the assassination attempt on President Trump serves as a harrowing reminder of the rise of political violence in our country. During my time on the Task Force on the Attempted Assassination of Donald J. Trump, I recommended critical reforms and changes".

Two days later, on July 14, 2025, Joyce commented on recent legislative progress in Congress: "Tonight, the @HouseAppropsGOP FY26 bill for the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies Subcommittee just passed through subcommittee markup. This legislation invests in transportation safety, critical infrastructure, and housing support for Americans."

On July 16, 2025, he discussed environmental policy efforts at a press event: "This morning, I hosted a press conference with @EnvAm to talk about the importance of Congress passing the BEACH Act. Federal action must be taken to clean up the contamination at beaches on the Great Lakes and across the country. This bill will help do just that."

David Joyce was born in Cleveland in 1957 and currently resides in South Russell. He holds both undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Dayton (1979 BS; 1982 JD). After replacing Steve LaTourette in Congress in 2013, Joyce has focused his work on issues ranging from public safety to environmental protection.
