Today, Congressman Dave Joyce of Ohio's 14th district expressed his approval following the House's passage of the Senate amendment to H.R.1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. The legislation had previously passed in the Senate and is now set to be signed into law by President Trump.
Joyce commented on the significance of the bill, stating: "This bill represents a historic investment in our nation’s economy and security for years to come. It prevents a devastating tax hike on American families, supports small businesses, boosts economic growth by making critical TCJA tax provisions permanent, and increases border security resources to assist our frontline law enforcement agents and combat fentanyl trafficking."
While acknowledging that the bill is not without its flaws, Joyce emphasized its importance as a step forward for the country after what he described as "four years of high prices and failed policies." He reiterated his commitment to bipartisan collaboration in Congress alongside President Trump to protect federal programs, ensure access to rural healthcare, and deliver results for constituents.
