On March 5, 2025, Dave Joyce conveyed his best wishes to those observing Ash Wednesday. He stated, "To everyone who celebrates, I wish you a blessed Ash Wednesday. Let us take time to reflect as the season of Lent begins."

Later that day, he announced his co-sponsorship of the Great Lakes Fishery Research Reauthorization Act. He explained that this legislation is aimed at supporting essential research for the sport and commercial fishing industry in the Great Lakes region by stating, "Earlier this week, I co-sponsored the Great Lakes Fishery Research Reauthorization Act. This bill will help fund critical research that supports the $5 billion sport and commercial fishing industry in the Great Lakes region."

On March 6, 2025, Joyce celebrated Great Lakes Day by reaffirming his commitment to conservation efforts as co-chair of the Great Lakes Task Force.
