Dave Joyce, a U.S. Congressman representing Ohio's 14th district, has been actively engaging in discussions and inquiries pertinent to disaster relief funding, security failures, and federal fund allocation. His recent activities on social media highlight these efforts.

On December 4, 2024, Joyce shared that he hosted a roundtable with Mark Amodei and administrators from the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The focus of this meeting was on disaster relief funding. He emphasized the importance of these discussions by stating: "With many Americans affected by recent natural disasters, these talks are crucial to understanding how we can most effectively allocate resources."

The following day, December 5, 2024, Joyce questioned Secret Service Acting Director Rowe regarding security lapses in Butler and West Palm Beach. He expressed concern over the findings which revealed significant coordination issues within the Secret Service. Joyce stated: "Our findings have shown an alarming lack of coordination from the Secret Service, and the agency is in need of serious reform." He also provided a link to the full hearing for further details.

Later on December 5, Joyce met with Cortland Mayor Petrosky and other city officials in Washington D.C. They discussed strategies for channeling federal funds to Cortland through appropriations processes. Joyce expressed his satisfaction with such meetings by noting: "I am always happy to meet with local officials to continue to deliver results for OH-14."
