Lake County Sheriff's Office Sheriff Frank Leonbruno issued the following announcement on Oct. 31.
We want to take a moment to recognize Correction Officer Matthew Zupancic who is leaving service with us to take a position as Probation Officer. November 21st would have marked 15 years of service for Officer Zupancic.
Just like his father Ed, who gave so many years of dedicated service to our community as Auditor of Lake County, Matt has been a hard-working member of our Corrections staff. Whether working as a line officer, training officer, or really any facet of the jail, Matt was person you could depend on and trust in any situation. His experience and calm demeanor will certainly be missed at our Office.
We wish Officer Zupancic all the best as he begins this new phase of his career. Thank you for your service Matt, may the future bring you and your family all the best.
