Dave Joyce, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 14th district since 2013, has used his social media platform to address both legislative priorities and local community matters in recent days.

On October 1, 2025, Joyce called on Senate Democrats to act on government funding legislation, stating: "Senate Democrats need to pass a clean CR - something they’ve done 13 times before - and drop their $1.5T partisan wishlist. It’s time to get serious, fund the government, and work for the American people."

Two days later, on October 3, he expressed condolences following the death of Kent Mayor Jerry Fiala: "Kelly and I are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Kent Mayor Jerry Fiala. Elected in 2009, Jerry served his community with humility and compassion, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with him. He will be greatly missed."

Later that same day, Joyce reiterated his stance on federal appropriations: "A lapse in appropriations is unnecessary and destructive. Senate Democrats must pass the clean CR so we can continue the appropriations process."

David Joyce has represented Ohio’s 14th District in Congress since replacing Steve LaTourette in 2013. Born in Cleveland in 1957 and currently residing in South Russell, Joyce holds degrees from the University of Dayton—a BS earned in 1979 and a JD completed in 1982.
