Perry High School -Lake County Ohio issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.
As COVID-19 cases continue to rise in Lake County and based on feedback from our staff and community, we are making the following revisions to our communication process.
Today, we opened a clinic hotline number to be used specifically for reporting COVID-19 positive test results. If your student receives a positive diagnosis, please call 440-417-2630 to report it to one of our district nurses who will be on-call.
Additionally, at the end of the day, we will send one potential exposure notification including all of the information for classrooms, buses, or activities in which your student may have been involved. You will receive one potential exposure notification per student. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME AS QUARANTINE NOTIFICATIONS. Notifications advising students to refrain from coming on campus will continue to be sent out as quickly as we are able.
For more information about our process, please refer to slide 24 of the District ReStart Plan here: https://docs.google.com/.../1GLP.../edit.
We understand that the notification process can be confusing at times. We hope that these revisions will add some clarity for our stakeholders and help streamline our own internal processes. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself, or your building principal for further clarification. Have a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving.
Best,
