In 2017-2018, 39.1 percent of Lake Erie College students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Lake Erie College has 936 undergraduate students, of which 54 percent are women and 46 percent are men, and a total student body of 1,160 students. Of these students, 323 men and 131 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Lake Erie College with the most participants are football (108), all track combined (86) and soccer (61).
