Madison home prices rise in the third quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2019 in Madison rose by $23,550 while total sales increased by 26.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2019, there were 48 homes sold, with a median sale price of $160,000 - a 17.3% increase over the $136,450 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 38 homes sold in Madison in the third quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Madison for the most recent year with available data, 2015, was $4,328, approximately 2.7% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2019.
