Dave Joyce, U.S. Congressman representing Ohio’s 14th district since 2013, posted several updates on his official Twitter account addressing national defense, maternal health legislation, and government funding between September 18 and September 19, 2025.

On September 18, Joyce marked the anniversary of a key military branch with a message: "Happy Birthday @USAirForce! For 78 years, these brave men and women have risked their lives to defend our country and freedoms. Today, let's honor those who have served and continue to serve."

Later that day, he announced new legislative efforts regarding maternal health: "Today, I joined my colleagues in introducing the SHINE for Autumn Act, a bill to promote research and education on stillbirths, helping save lives and keep mothers and their babies healthy."

On September 19, Joyce commented on congressional action to prevent disruption in federal services: "I just voted to avoid a harmful government shutdown and extend government funding through November 21. Read my full statement."

David Joyce was born in Cleveland in 1957 and currently resides in South Russell. He graduated from the University of Dayton with both a BS (1979) and JD (1982). He succeeded Steve LaTourette as representative of Ohio's 14th District.
